Earth; is a collaboration with New Norm in Hong Kong. The base is made of solid marble and the holder with brass. The shape of the holder has also been moulded to resemble Earth & its rotation – cultivating mindfulness of the present. The design concept is inspired by natural forms – the sun, the moon, the earth; a nostalgia from our past travels. The common ethos of architectural sleek forms and a minimalist modern aesthetic defines both brands.
Designed in Hong Kong & Singapore. Inspired by constructivism drawings and geometrical forms, the shape of the earth and how it rotates around the sun, we decided to mix and match circles, lines, and squares, working to create a unique shape for the holder. PLEASE NOTE: As the brass is bent to form the shape, there might be minor irregularities in the smoothness of material across the bends.
